Billing — Metering

Platform fee

Every Stripe-billed organisation — not tenant — is charged a flat $1,000/month platform fee once, regardless of how many tenants it has. It appears as a single fixed line item on the organisation’s invoice, quantity 1, and is charged unconditionally — prorated only for the organisation’s first partial month, from the date the organisation was created; every month after bills in full. It is charged every month regardless of usage, in addition to the four consumption dimensions below (which are metered per deal or per offer as usual, then summed across the whole organisation), and is never netted against them: an organisation with 100 APN-synced deals and nothing else pays $1,000 + (100 × $7.20) = $1,720/month, however many tenants those 100 deals are spread across.

Billing dimensions

FlowState bills usage on four consumption dimensions, all billed on top of the platform fee above.

Agentic Sales Manager

True concurrent deal-hour accrual: a deal present for 10 of the month’s ~720 hours bills for exactly 10 deal-hours, both up and down. A deal that stops being tracked stops accruing at the next accrual — it does not keep billing at the month’s peak until the month rolls over.

This dimension carries one caveat the others don’t: its source — “deals under AI management” — is HubSpot-derived and computed only once a day, at 06:00 UTC, not inside the hourly billing run. The hourly accrual re-uses that day’s count every hour until the next day’s 06:00 UTC refresh replaces it, so a deal added or removed mid-day starts or stops billing at the next daily refresh, not within the hour it actually changed. This up-to-24-hour staleness is a deliberate, accepted trade-off — daily resolution was the decision — not a defect.

Price: $0.001 per deal-hour ≈ $0.72 per deal per 30-day month.

APN Sync

True concurrent deal-hour accrual, sampled fresh every hour directly from the count of your deals currently synced to APN: a deal present for 10 of the month’s ~720 hours bills for exactly 10 deal-hours. Unlike Agentic Sales Manager, there is no daily-staleness caveat here — the count is always current to the hour it’s sampled.

Price: $0.01 per deal-hour ≈ $7.20 per deal per 30-day month.

A deal that’s active under both features counts toward both meters and is billed once per feature.

Business-Problem Generations

The number of business-problem generations (metered once per generation job), counted cumulatively, not a high-water-mark. The template recommendation step is never billed — it is not a generation. Each deal gets 5 free generations; the 6th and beyond are billed.

Price: 3 cents per generation.

Unlike the two deal-hour dimensions, this one is Stripe-only — FlowState’s AWS Marketplace listing has no dimension registered for it, so it is never billed through AWS Marketplace. This is a registration fact, not a technical limitation: AWS Marketplace metering has no per-dimension aggregation configuration at all — every dimension’s monthly bill is the sum of every hour’s submitted quantity, the same mechanic the two deal-hour dimensions use on that path — see AWS Marketplace for how those two meter there.

AWS Marketplace Offers (private offers)

The number of your own AWS Marketplace private offers currently released — that is, AWS itself reports the offer’s State as Released with an availability end date that is either unset or still in the future. FlowState samples this count from your connected AWS account every hour and adds each hour’s count into the month’s running total: true proportional offer-hours, not a monthly peak. Five offers released on the 1st and expired on the 2nd bill for 24 offer-hours, not for a peak of five pinned for the rest of the month.

Drafts are never billed — only an offer AWS itself reports as released counts. Extending an offer’s availability keeps the meter running; expiring it (or letting it lapse) stops the meter starting from the next hourly sample.

Price: $0.01 per offer-hour ≈ $7.20 per offer per 30-day month.

Like Business-Problem Generations, this dimension is cumulative rather than a high-water-mark. See Marketplace Offers for the integration this dimension bills.

Two more dimensions exist but are not billed. MCP tool invocations and pipeline analysis runs are also counted internally — they are recorded so we can monitor the service, and are never charged.

How metering works

Usage is sampled and accrued continuously, every hour, for every active tenant. It is then summed across all of an organisation’s tenants and pushed once per organisation to your billing provider — Stripe or AWS Marketplace, depending on how you’re billed — not once per tenant.

Before recording an hour of Stripe usage, FlowState checks the organisation’s cumulative total against Stripe’s own record of what’s been reported so far this month for that organisation’s customer. If the two disagree, or if Stripe can’t be reached, that hour’s push is held back and the organisation’s account is flagged for review rather than reporting a number that might be wrong. This affects only the one dimension in question — everything else keeps billing normally, and it resolves automatically once the underlying issue clears.

Free credit

New tenants do not receive a free-credit balance — billing starts from the first unit of usage.
