Signing Up & Confirming Your Email

Create your account

  1. Go to the FlowState homepage and click Get started.
  2. FlowState sends you to the Cognito hosted UI — the sign-in page for FlowState’s identity provider.
  3. Click Sign up and choose one of two options:
    • Email and password — enter your email address and choose a password. The password must be at least 8 characters and include a mix of uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols.
    • Google SSO — sign in with your Google account. See Signing up with Google below; you do not confirm your email separately with this option.
  4. If you signed up with email and password, submit the form. FlowState sends a confirmation code to the email address you entered.
  5. Enter the code on the confirmation screen and submit it.
  6. Your account is confirmed. Sign in with your email and password.
  7. Since this is your first sign-in, FlowState takes you to the setup page to create your first tenant (your team’s private workspace in FlowState).

You cannot sign in before you confirm your email. If you try, you are told your account is not confirmed yet.

Signing up with Google

When you sign up with Google SSO, Google has already confirmed your email address for its own account, so FlowState trusts it too. There is no confirmation code to enter — after you approve the Google sign-in, you go straight to the setup page to create your first tenant.

Didn’t get the code?

  • Check your spam or junk folder. The email comes from FlowState’s no-reply address.
  • Wait a few minutes — email delivery is not always instant.
  • Still on the confirmation screen? Use its option to resend the code.
  • Closed the confirmation screen or the tab before entering the code? Go back to the sign-in page and try to sign up or sign in again with the same email address — you are told the account still needs confirming, with a way to get a new code from there.
  • The code expires after 24 hours. Request a new one if yours has expired.

Why do I need to confirm my email?

FlowState uses your email address for account and billing notices, and needs a working, verified address before you can set up billing for your first tenant. An unconfirmed account cannot sign in at all, so in practice you always confirm your email before you reach that step.
